Patten, David W. (1799–1838) Baptized 1832, member of original Quorum of the Twelve (1835), missions with Reynolds Cahoon, Zebedee Coltrin, brother-in-law Warren Parrish, Wilford Woodruff, and others, noted for healing the sick, martyr of the battle of Crooked River 1838.
Pratt, Orson (1811–1882)

(1) Child of a poor New York farm laborer. Western Reserve, 1828. Converted to Mormonism by Parley, 1830. Mission to Colesville. Missions to Ohio, eastern states, and New England with Parley and Lyman E. Wight. Taken seriously ill in Jackson county.
(2) Primarily a chronology of Orson's missions in Ohio and the East from 1832 to 1835. Timely arrival in Kirtland to be ordained an apostle. Remarkable Visions and Prophetic Almanac. Brief summary of events 1838–1844.

Pratt, Parley (1807–1857) Early convert (1830), missionary to Kirtland, MIssouri, Canada, the East, England, and Midwest. Member, original Quorum of the Twelve. Pamphleteer (esp. "Voice of Warning") and first editor of the MIllennial Star.
Richards, Willard (1804–1854) To 1844, biographical. 1837–1840 British mission diary entries. Called to the Twelve in 1840.
Wight, Lyman (1796–1858) To 1844. Baptized in 1830, vision of the Son 1831, founds Cincinnati branch, commands Mormon forces 1833, Zion's Camp, Adam-ondi-Ahman stake presidency, Libery jail, apostle 1841, campaign for Joseph 1844.
Woodruff, Wilford (1807–1898)

(1) To 1835. Conversion and baptism 1833, Zion's Camp, mission to Kentucky and Tennessee.
(2) 1836–1837. Joseph denounces dissidents in Kirtland Temple. Mission to the Fox Islands.
(3) 1837–1839. Maine and Fox Island mission. Baptizes parents. Call to the Twelve. Leads Fox Island company to Illinois. Move to Montrose, Iowa.

Curtis, George Ticknor (1812–1894) Non-Mormon lobbyist for the church in the 1880s.
Cutler, Alpheus (1784–1864) Temple builder, member of the Council of Fifty, polygamist, schismatic.
Davis, Albert W. (1841–1928) Brother-in-law of Joseph F. Smith, bishop of Salt Lake's Center Ward.
Denton, Wilber (1816–1864) One of two men allegedly sent by Joseph Smith to kill Solomon Newell in 1837.
Fielding, John (17591828) Father of Joseph, Mary, Mercy Fielding, grandfather of Joseph F. Smith. Methodist preacher.
Fielding, Joseph (17971863) Second president of British mission, brother of Mary Fielding (Smith).
