Members of the firm to covenant together. Great blessings promised. The Lord will return from heaven with the church of the First Born. 1835 version indicates the revelation was the order of Enoch, intended to care for the poor. It is the city of Enoch, rather than the united firm, that is to be established in Zion. Also, allusions to Adam-ondi-ahman and Michael, the prince who has been set on high with the keys of salvation. Code words for Joseph, Sidney, and Newell, also for Jesus Christ (the Son Ahman).
D&C 88:127–141 The "order" of the "house of God:" The "teacher" shall arrive first and offer a prayer. As the brethren arrive he greets them with a certain salutation. The recipients reciprocate or say, Amen. Sometime between January 3, 1833 and the 1835, this revelation was appended to the December 27, 1832 revelation with additional verses and editing. The added material introduces references to the School of the Prophets and the ordinance of washing feet, an ordinance institued at the School on January 23, 1833.
