1. Resume monthly publication of the Elders Journal. |

press and supplies |

3. Sell the printing press, type, and furniture purchased
from John Whitmer, and the furniture that
belong to the printing company, to Edward
Partridge. Authorize Edward to pay for it from the sale of city lots
or donations. |

|
4th Resolved, that Edward Partridge do not pay to W.
W. Phelps and John Whitmer a certain mortgage, which they hold against
him, and that this Council uphold him in not paying the above mortgage. |

and fences for Joseph and Sidney |
|
5th Resolved—that this Council authorize Edward Partridge
to assist, in making houses on, and fencing the lots in this City which
are appropriated to the use of Joseph Smith jr. and Sidney
Rigdon, with
the avails arising from the town plot. |

Not more than
$100 for school |
|
6. Edward is to appropriate not more than $100 to the schoolhouse
"out of the avails of the town plot." |

Get subscriptions
for Elders Journal |
|
7. Council supports Thomas as publisher of the Elders
Journal and will use their influence to obtain subscriptions. |
|
|
Get people
to consecrate |
|
8. The council, bishop and his council will "use their
influence to cause the people to consecrate to the Lord, for the support
of the poor and needy." |
|
|
Schoolhouse
funding from consecrated property |
|
9. Authorize the Bishop to pay for one or more storehouses
for consecrated property from "the avails of the town plot." |
|
|
Publish high
council minutes as proper |
|
10. Council and clerk shall publish the minutes of the high
council "from time to time as they shall deem proper." |
|
|
|
|
11. "The aforesaid record" will commence with the
last council held in Clay County. |
