The volume was begun by Frederick G. Williams sometime between mid-February and March 8, 1832: The first revelation is D&C 76, which was received on February 16, 1822, and the statement at the bottom of page 11 reads: "March 8th 1832 Chose this day and ordained …" |
Frederick G. Williams,
who served as a scribe to the prophet from July 20 to approximately November
27, 1832, copied the first revelations into the Kirtland
Revelations Book (KRB). Orson
Hyde added revelations in 1834. James Mulholland also contributed, probably
in 1839. Page 107 is the first page to give the date (August 18, 1834) it was copied into the book (by Orson Hyde). |
