a complaint was then presented to the coun[cil] by Daniel S. Miles against <[-]> Roger Orton for abusing Elder Brigham Young & for a [256] general course of unchristian like conduct |
|
|
|
|
it being proved that the acused had been notified to apppear & answer for his conduct but he refused |
|
|
|
|
after wa[i]ting some time for him to appe[a]r the Presid[ent] arose & gave the following that decision |
|
|
|
|
that by the acused showing contempt to the authorities of the Church he ought to be cut of [-] <the church> |
|
|
|
|
then called on the Councell to vote they unanimously voted to cut him of from the church. |
|
|
|
|
Voted to adjourn untill Monday evening next |
