families to Kirtland, then "go forth to preach the gospel." Sidney
Rigdon ordains Brother Stevens. |

Tippits to buy land
for Essex Co. church |
|
Council decides that J. H. and J. W. Tippits should "go to
Missouri this fall to purchase land for the Church in Essex, N.Y. according
to previous appointment by the voice of said Church." |

This is over a year after the brothers arrive in
