and he, the official member, neglecting to comply with, or obey them

1838 non-compliance with the Word of Wisdom was
one of two charges that led to the rejection of presidents David and John

Orsons to raise funds in the East for Zion and pay mortgage on farm where
the house of the Lord stands |

The council votes that
Orson Hyde and Orson
Pratt (h1) should: |

go east to obtain donations for Zion, and means to redeem the farm on
which the house of the Lord Stands. The church and council then prayed
with uplifted hands that they might be prospered in their Mission.
