General Meeting of August 5, 1837

Vote to proceed with construction of a house of the Lord "as we have means." Edward Partridge treasurer; Jacob Whitmer, Elisha Groves, and George M. Hinkle committee until David Whitmer goes to and returns from Kirtland. Committee to have no store. Members are free to compete.

But that every firm or individual that embarks in that business—have, own and claim such property as their own private individual property and stewardship."
