Minutes of April 7, 1837
After three days of discussions, the high council of Zion and their two independent-minded presidents reconcile. (? Thomas B. Marsh's letter of May 1837 indicates the presidents "suffered themselves to be corrected by the council.") At this meeting, the Far West city plat is adopted, the presidents are among the five "wise men" appointed to price and sell town lots, building committee named for the House of the Lord with the presidents of the stake to superintend and receive revelations for them.
