1832 Tarring of Joseph and Sidney
Joseph is dragged from his bed, tarred and feathered by a mob led by former Mormons. Sidney suffers the same fate. Joseph thinks Sidney is dead but discovers he only "crazy." (Sidney wants a knife to kill his wife, then to kill Joseph.)
