Ordinations, missionary recommends. Joseph Smith's letter to high council and W. W. Phelps petition to the governor are read. First elders for Kirtland endowment nominated. Zion's Camp members to apply for discharges from Lyman Wight and missionary certificates from Edward Partridge.

W. W. Phelps comments on conducting meetings wisely.
Ordinations Elisha H. Groves asks to be ordained to the High Priesthood (vote carries). "Elisha H. Groves was ordained to the High priesthood." MH B-1 2:555.
Vote to ordain Samuel Musick and John Lowry teachers. Omitted in MS history.
Missionary recommends Vote to grant Daniel Stephens and John M. Chitister "recommends to go forth to preach the Gospel." Omitted in MS history.
Appoint Simeon Carter to ordain the brethren named above. Omitted in MS history.
Joseph's letter W. W. Phelps reads Joseph's letter of August 16, 1834 The letter speaks of Joseph's return to Kirtland, approaching Kirtland endowment (selected members in Missouri are invited), send a petition to the governor, news. JS personal, 2nd ed. 347–350.

Petition to governor W. W. Phelps reads his petition to the governor. It is accepted.
First elders endowment Calvin Beebe and Levi Jackman are nominated as "first Elders" to go to Kirtland and receive the endowment, if approved by "the Revelator." The brethren are to receive a copy of the resolution.
Priesthood promotion Elder James Emmett applies "to be promoted to the highpriesthood." Omitted in MS history.
Permission for missionary Isaac Follis is voted permission to go forth and preach because he can "situate his family and leave them comfortable." Omitted in MS history.
Zion's Camp discharge, preach on return trip Vote that members of "the Camp" members apply for discharge from Lyman Wight (h) (swh)and recommend from Bishop Partridge to go forth and preach the gospel.
Ordain teacher Vote to ordain George Pitkin a teacher. Zebedee Coltrin to ordain him.
