Description … a councel of Elders was called by Bro Curtis Hodges & Bro Shadrack Roundy … Original: Shadrak

Opening   Prayer.  
Bro. Hodges' desire   Brother Hodges stands and expresses a desire to serve a mission. " … he could leave home and that his family was so situated that they did not need his assistence & desired to know his duty and what course to take &c as it was his determination to labour in the vineyard—"  
    Council decides he should find a companion "and go forth according to the dictates of the spirit"  
Bro. Roundy's desire   Brother Roundy states he has "a witness of the spirit" that he should go forth and "proclaim the gospel," but his family needs his support.  
    [3] Council decides he should "go and act according to the dictates of the spirit, as his temporal business was as yet unsettled and would probably remain so some length of time."
