Minutes of September 26, 1830
Joseph is appointed to receive revelations for the church. Church to be the Lord's ensign to the nations. Articles and Covenants of the church are read. It also seems that this conference dealt with Hiram Page and his seer stone revelations. ¶ Hiram Page

Conference discusses, renounces Hiram's stone Conference at length assembled, the subject of the Stone &c was brought up, and after considerable discussion, reasoning and investigation Hyrum agreed to renounce the stone and its author, and the brethren unanimously agreed to renounce them also— At length, our conference assembled; the subject of the stone above mentioned, was discussed, and after considerable investigation, Brother Page, as well as the whole church, who were present, renounced the said stone, and all things connected therewith, much to our mutual satisfaction and happiness.
    We now partook of sacrament—confirmed and ordained many, and attended to a great variety of Church business during <on> that day and the following day. During which [264] time we had much of the power of God manifested, The Holy Ghost poured out upon us We now partook of the sacrament, confirmed, and ordained many, and attended to a great variety of church business on that and the following day; during which time we had much of the power of God manifested among us; the Holy Ghost came upon us, and filled us with joy unspeakable; and peace, and faith, and hope, and charity abounded in our midst.

Description … the second Conference held by the Elders of this Church.
Leader Br. Joseph Smith jr. appointed leader of the Conference by vote. "And all things shall be done by common consent in the church, by much prayer and faith, for all things you shall receive by faith." D&C 26:2, (June 1830).

Joseph to receive revelations [Joseph is] appointed by the voice of the Conference to receive and write Revelations & Commandments for this Church. "But, behold, verily, verily, I say unto thee, no one shall be appointed to receive commandments and revelations in this church excepting my servant Joseph Smith, Jun., for he receiveth them even as Moses." D&C 28:2.

Joseph: ensign to nations Joseph reads Isaiah 5 and offers prayer.
Articles and Covenants Oliver reads the Articles and Covenants, and Joseph comments.
Membership 62 No. of the several members uniting to this Church since the last Conference, thirty-five, making in whole now belonging to this Church sixty-two.
Newel ordained Oliver ordains Newel Knight a priest.
Prayers Oliver prays. All pray.  
Exhortations by all Exhortation by all elders in turn.
Sing, pray for Oliver, Peter Singing, prayer for Oliver Cowdery and Peter Whitmer Jr., who are going on a mission to the Lamanites. Oliver is called in D&C 28:8, Peter in D&C 30:5.
Close Adjourn to January 1, 1831. David Whitmer to keep records until then. Prayer by Oliver.
